"Inserted Tales" invites the spectator to explore life signals from mute planes. Signs as cyphers are examined by means of recording relational visual sources from found situations to be retrieved later to implement selected data as decryption keys.

The first image of the dyptic captures a weather stained stone surface with perplexing, manmade signs on it. The resiliency of the material versus the force put onto the engraved marks are clearly evident. It can be read as a cryptography of 5 vertical lines carved into a weather stained stone as if someone stood there for a duration of 5 units of time and completed the waiting period by crossing them over with the 6th line.

The second panel shows the chipped off or carved off section of a stone. Marks on the surface recall cave figures and the hollow space between them suggests a foliage which seems to expose itself to light. A lamina perhaps, which its membranes channel photosynthesis.

The enigmatic symbols of these images collaborate as a carefully scattered puzzle. By creating both physical and mental cavities on the surface, the inserted counterpoints work as revealed propositions. Their assigned means and their realities attempt to seek a pathway from undefined visual perceptions to cognitive receptions.
